It's Wednesday and time for the EU PlayStation Store update.

Mike Kebby writes, "The final piece of content I want to highlight is the demo for Mafia II. I managed to spend some time with the team at 2K last week and get my hands on the demo, and had a jolly old time. I played the same demo you’ll all be able to get your hands on today, so I won’t say anything else in case I spoil it, but let me say this – you’ll have a ten minute countdown of free-roam before you have to reach the mission checkpoint, so make the most of cruising round and seeing how much chaos you can cause."

Mafia 2 Demo Coming August 10th

2K Games announced today that its upcoming epic action crime game, Mafia® II, will have a downloadable demo available worldwide on August 10 for the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system, Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and Windows PC. Set in the fully realized and immersive 1940’s and 1950’s American urban cityscape of Empire Bay, soon all gamers will be able to experience the decadent and meticulously crafted atmosphere, intense shooting and driving gameplay, and character narrative in Mafia II that is set to be released on August 24 in North America, August 26 in Australia and August 27 internationally. 2K Games announced today the first two action-infused downloadable content packs for its upcoming epic action crime game, Mafia® II. The Betrayal of Jimmy* will be available as a free download on the day the game launches exclusively for players worldwide who purchase a new copy of Mafia II for the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system. The second DLC pack, Jimmy's Vendetta*, will be available soon after the launch of Mafia II and will offer players a different arcade style of gameplay with new missions and leaderboard competition on the PlayStation 3 system, Xbox 360TM video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and PC.
