One of PSN's best shooters is going to be getting a patch. The developers have been listening to the community, so the patch will add custom soundtracks, Home game launching, friends filtering, matchmaking, loads of other features and loads of bug fixes, too, most of which have been requested by the game's fans.

There's also going to be a demo released onto PSN tomorrow and the promise of some DLC. Great stuff. The full patch list  is after the break, courtesy of the wonderful guys at TSA. Read more »

SCEA have said that the American Home will get a Resistance space this Thursday. The space will have a mini-game called 'Four Barrels of Fury' in which you must shoot down Chimeran ships. If you do well in the mini-game, you can unlock 'special virtual goods' and your scores will be recorded in a global leaderboard. Nice stuff.

Also coming with the space will be Resistance 2 game launching, as well as the opportunity to play against SCEA's community managers. Additionally, get into the space 5:00-6:00pm PT next Thursday (28th May) and you'll be able to launch into the game with people from Insomniac themselves and they're designating Fridays nights 6pm-12am 'Resistance 2: SRPA Seige' nights and inviting you all 'to show up and contribute to the carnage, whether you are currently fighting the virus or happily succumbing to it.' Earlier this morning, "CydoniaX" (Home Manager at Sony) posted a message on the Playstation.Blog that pretty much confirmed that we will receive: Voice Chat across games, XMB Voice messaging (30 sec clips) and HOME Game Launching for all games at some point down the line. His exact words were:

"All that stuff is still in development, game launching started with Warhawk and should be supported by all future game spaces now. It takes time, but we haven’t forgotten about all the stuff that our users really want!" Read more »
