Oh Sony, how you spoil us so. Sony has released the first multiplayer footage of Killzone 3 and it looks phenomenal. Brutal melee finishers, new weapons, and vehicles are some of the awesome things you see in this short trailer. What are you waiting for? According to PS3Hype, Guerrilla Games are in the conceptual stage of a new product. It's not clear whether this will be a continuation of the Killzone universe, or a new IP.

In an interview with Control, Herman Hulst had this to say about a new IP:

"We are now fully working. We try to do it very carefully and are now at the point where key players to set up. It is very busy with Killzone 3, but we still have people released this. Very soon we are going upscale. We are now still in the conceptual stage. A very nice time for the studio.Typical of the Guerrilla culture is that the company involved in the project. We have an extensive briefing circulated and invited everyone to pitch concepts. There are so many ideas come from. It gives a good picture of what the studio wants. We had quite a quick idea of what we want to do, but it's still too early to talk about it."

With Killzone 3 arriving on store shelves in February 2011 it's highly plausible that Guerrilla Games could be creating a new IP, however it's unlikely that it would be released until late 2013 or early 2014.

In a recent post by CVG, Sony has confirmed that Killzone 3 is a certainty. There's no question that this statement is solid as it came straight from Jack Tretton, President and CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment America.
