GTA Chinatown Wars Hits PSN (On a Tuesday)

GTA-Chinatown-Wars-Banner

If you're in the US and own a PSP, you might be interested to know that GTA: Chinatown Wars has hit PSN today. Yes, on a Tuesday. The game also released on UMD, too, if you'd rather have a physical manifestation of your purchase and down own a PSP Go.

The game will hit the EU PSN store and shops on Friday. Yes, it'll hit the EU PSN on Friday. Things releasing on days that aren't Thursday, we're starting to question reality. We wouldn't be surprised if our stairs took us to heaven and the oven housed some kind of monster.

...Anyway, if you're American and have a PSP, you'd better go buy the game, as it's reportedly very good, with a 92 on Metacritic at the time of writing. What are you waiting for? Hijack a car and get your arse to the Playstation Store. Not that that makes any sense.

Uncharted 2 MP Beta Hits PSN (Meaning: It's Gone Public)

Uncharted Banner

If you've been just dying to play that swanky Uncharted 2: Among Thieves multiplayer beta that most of us at PS3v have been shooting each other in, you're about to become a very happy bunny (or some other small, furry animal). The beta is now available to download from the Playstation Store. For everybody. It'll run until the game releases on 13th of October, giving you a good 13/14 days to play your adorable little gamer arse off. Go on, then, don't let us keep you.

There's nothing more to say, because you've probably already gone. I'll say something crazy and see if anybody notices; circular cabbages of healing +1.

That's it, we've done it. We've finally jumped into the slightly murky pool that is Facebook. Now we've got a Facebook Page and a Facebook Group, both just waiting for you to become a fan of or join today. We know you've probably got Facebook already, so you may as well go and fan/join, you'll get our news feed directly to your Facebook news feed.

If that isn't service, we don't know what is. So go on, hit the links. You won't regret it. At some point in the future, if we get enough fans/group members, we'll start using both of them to organise online matches in various games and what-not. What've you got to lose (we assure you, you don't have much to lose in online matches either, we all suck)?

Droplitz Banner

Droplitz has been released on the US PSN store today. Yes, that's something released onto PSN on a Monday. We're shocked too.

What we're not shocked about, though, is that it hasn't made it's way onto the EU PSN yet, so it looks like we've got a wait ahead of us - at least until Thursday, presumably. It's all about rotating and matching dials to save things called Droplitz. Go read about it on the US PS Blog.

Synesthesia Hits PSN Tomorrow (for Free)

Tag: Free, Hits, M, Playstation Store, PSN, Synethesia, Tomorrow

The Playstation Blog has said that the PS3 exclusive, free extra level for Mirror's Edge will arrive on PSN tomorrow (29th January, technically today). He didn't specify which store, but we can definitely assume the American store will get it, whilst just crossing our fingers for the European stores.

Synesthesia (which is a brilliant name) is meant to be based on what Faith would be dreaming about (if you ask us, there are better ways to spend dreams, but this is good too). The level will curb your desires to 'leave the city behind' and to explore the 'purity of the core gameplay with nothing getting in the way', at least until Pure releases. Well, that's us sold and climaxed. We'll be waiting intently. After we've showered.

If you're wondering about the exclusivity, both PS3 and 360 will get the Time Trial pack in February, which is called Pure. This particular level, which is in the same vein as the levels in Pure, will only be available to PS3 owners, and will be available from tomorrow.

Please feel free to follow the link above to see the trailer for Pure, which looks stunning. The abstract look is really, really good, and a welcome break from the city setting.
