Speaking in the new issue of PSM3 magazine, Polyphony Digital’s President Kazunori Yamauchi comments that the current build of Gran Turismo 5 occasionally dips below 60fps, which could be why the studio decided to move the title’s release date from early November to, um... later than early November.

Yesterday, Just Push Start reported that Polyphony Digital’s racing sim Gran Turismo 5 won't be available in Russia until closer to Christmas due to technical reasons. Today, it's America's turn, and it's likely the rest of the world will be next.

Kazunori Yamauchi, Head of Polyphony Digital, has again spoken out on longed-for racing simulation Gran Turismo 5 claiming that the title will be totally different to 2008’s GT5: Prologue. Well, you'd hope so, wouldn't you?

As if almost 1,000 licensed cars and 70-odd circuits wasn’t enough to get racers excited about Gran Turismo 5, a representative at developer Polyphony Digital has confirmed to Everything for Gamers – officially, so it seems – that the final product will feature a comprehensive track editor:

'Yes [the game] will have a track editor. You will be able to rebuild a track from scratch or edit the tracks that are already put in Gran Turismo 5.'

Unfortunately, representatives were not so loose-lipped when asked about territory release dates, responding with 'sorry, we can’t give out any of that information at the moment'. 

You can imagine our surprise when we read that, can't you?
