Warner Bros. and Eidos Inc. have just announced that they will be releasing a Game of the Year edition of the hit comic book game Batman: Arkham Asylum.

The Game of the Year edition will include the downloadable content that was previously released as standard. The new pack will also support TriOviz 3D, which will allow users to play and view the game in 3D on both standard and high-definition TVs. You'll even get a neat pair of 3D glasses!

Our PS3Vault faces presently bare Cheshire cat grins that stretch from ear to ear, because this morning we learned that the Game of the Year edition of LittleBigPlanet might be coming to Europe in April!

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves won Game of the Year (in addition to Best PS3 Game and Best Graphics, might we add) at this year's VGA, held on Friday night last week. Were we surprised? Not in the slightest. The game is, in all respects, absolutely superb.

It was no walk in the park, mind you. Naughty Dog’s third-person action epic was up against some of the most talked-about titles in PlayStation history: Ubisoft’s Assassin's Creed 2, Rocksteady Studios’ Batman: Arkham Asylum, and Infinity Ward’s magnificent Modern Warfare 2 were all nominated for the prestigious award - and each stood a good chance of winning it, too.

So congratulations Naughty Dog! Now, if you haven't yet laid your hands on a copy of Nathan Drake’s latest adventure, you need to do one of two things: either 1) read this, or 2) arrange a consultation with a reputable psychologist at the earliest convenience. Call us biased, but we recommend option 1).

If there’s one PS3 title on the market that deserves a Game of the Year edition, it’s LittleBigPlanet. Its ‘Play, Create, Share’ concept has stimulated the creation of more than 1,000,000 user-generated levels within a thriving online community, giving Media Molecule’s physics-based platformer almost limitless longevity.

For those of you who have yet to be sucked in by Sackboy, a GOTY variant will arrive on September 8th priced at $59.99, as per the US PlayStation Blog (unfortunately, little is known about a UK release date or price at this time).

"So, what's included?" we hear you cry. Well, 18 level creators have been hand-picked by Media Molecule to each design an exclusive bonus level specifically for the disc – that’s 18 brand new levels! Further to that, $30 worth of DLC from the PlayStation Store has been bundled in, such as the Metal Gear Solid, Monster and History packs. We even found some video footage for you. 

If that wasn’t enough, the GOTY edition will also offer a unique voucher code that will allow you to participate in the approaching ModNation Racers Online Beta, a ‘Play, Create, Share’ racer scheduled for release in 2010.

Sounds like a pretty good deal, in our opinion.
