L.A Noire: First Trailer

la_noire_exclusivity_rehash

Years ago L.A Noire was announced to the masses and many people including myself, never thought this title would see the light of day. To my surprise I woke up and found a nice email from the folks at Rockstar with a link to the first trailer for L.A Noire. Not only was it long past due, but it also looked very impressive.

To view the trailer hit the break.

Megatron Concept

When we usually think of games based on movies or on comics, the general feeling is we would not touch it with a barge pole (at least in front of everyone).  So I can be right to say that this game might just turn out to be another cash cow for the people trying to line their pockets. However if any of you saw the trailer when it first came out, you would have either said "Wow! That game is going to look amazing." or "This should have been made a movie." I was actually thinking both thoughts as well as you watched Optimus pull out a battle axe laced with energy. Read more »

Dead Rising 2 Banner

Dead Rising 2, which is the sequel to, well, Dead Rising, is going to feature in Spike TV tomorrow at 12:30am EST. The feature will be the first ever gameplay footage, which is what makes it worth reporting on, as the game is looking excellent.

Uncharted 2 Public Beta: First Impressions

Uncharted 2 Banner

Anyone who’s anyone will know that the Uncharted 2: Among Thieves multiplayer public beta began today (or yesterday, given it is now the early hours of Wednesday morning). We were lucky enough to get our hands on some much sought-after participation codes and, a few tens of Deathmatch, Co-op, Plunder and Gold Rush matches later, our verdict is this: Naughty Dog’s upcoming title is every bit as brilliant as media has suggested.

Put simply, it’s fantastic fun. Whether your combat preference is stealth, tactical, camping, or run-and-gun, Uncharted 2’s gameplay caters for all. Moving through the shadows towards an unsuspecting enemy before incapacitating him with a pump-action shotgun was just as gratifying as spraying the opposition outright with erratic AK47 fire and swiping their loot. Both incidents were tremendously enjoyable, in fact.

I’m not going to venture into much more detail; that pleasure is Gamoc’s whom, like me, has spent countless hours immersing himself in what I would describe as gorgeous, lag-less, gun-wielding splendour. But I will say that, as a newcomer to Uncharted, I will definitely be adding Drake's newest adventure to my PS3 game collection - for its multiplayer element alone.

First Modern Warfare 2 Multiplayer Footage

modernwarfare2banner

You can see the first Modern Warfare 2 mutliplayer footage after the break, though you might want to go and watch it in HD. It looks, predictably, superb. You can customise your killing streak load outs, apparently, which we're certain is a great idea. You can also see a portable laptop for targetting something and an anti-aircraft missile launcher. There's not much else to report, so go watch.
