Well this is surprising. Final Fantasy XIII art director Isamu Kamikokuryou has told a Japanese magazine that a lot of content was deleted from Final Fantasy XIII. So much so that an entirely new game would have been possible from the deleted content.

Square Enix has released some new media for the highly anticipated Final Fantasy 13, due to release in March. The trailer showcases some good voice acting and some phenomenal cut-scenes packed with emotion. The only downside to the trailer is the music in the background, it doesn't fit with the rest of the trailer. Let us know what you think in the comment section.

A bounty of new Final Fantasy XIII features have appeared today, so we're combining both articles into this one. It saves time and space, after all. First up, the controls have been detailed on Kotaku, complete with a picture of the Dual Shock 3 labelled with the actions the buttons do. Granted, that's all in Japanese, but Kotaku have translated it all for you anyway, so go look if you really like controls or Dual Shock 3s.

Second (and last) is a lot of new gameplay footage from Gamepro, that you can go and see over at VG247. We've got one of the videos posted after the break. The game releases in Japan on December 17th, making a lot of Japanese people happy and a lot of non-Japanese people sightly miffed at said Japanese people. There's still no date for release elsewhere.
