In an interview with Kotaku, Managing Director of Sony Computer Entertainment Australia Michael Ephraim has inferred that Skype, an instant messaging application that facilitates free peer-to-peer communication over IP, could become a part of the PlayStation 3’s feature set in the future.

Firmware 3.50 Details

Firmware 3.50 will be releasing sometime tomorrow, and we have recieved word on what we can expect from this latest update. Firmware Update 3.50 to arrive September 21st

Sony has officially confirmed that firmware version 3.50 will be arriving on September 21st. This latest firmware update will allow for the viewing of 3D Blu-Ray movies to your PS3. Other details are slim at the moment, however it has just been revealed that it will also improve Facebook functionality, and allow for the reporting of unwanted messages.
