You know something's up when we're praising DRM. This is technically about the PC version of the game, not the PS3 version, but since the same game is on the PS3 and simply because this is the best DRM ever concieved by the minds of mortals, we thought we'd throw caution to the winds and let our metaphorical hair down and go for it anyway.
Eidos came up with an inventive way to screw pirates over in the PC version of Batman: Arkham Asylum. In fact, it is a trick worthy of the Joker himself; they disabled gliding. If you've played the game (and if you haven't, you definitely should), you'll know that gliding is an integral part of the gameplay, putting an unavoidable stopper onto your progression very early into the game. Instead, the caped crusader just tries to open his cape over and over again as he plummets to become a rather leathery pile on the ground. At least he looks cool whilst doing it.
As far as DRM goes, this is completely excellent, so we fully support it. Besides, it's better than certain other methods.
