E3 2010: Castlevania: Lords of Shadow hands-on

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow was among the several titles demoed at Sony’s E3 booth. The stellar presentation of last year’s E3 trailer got me excited to get some hands on time with this title. If you’re anything like me you will have been keeping a close eye on Criterion Games’ Twitter page since Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit was officially revealed at this year’s E3 Expo. The British developer, world-renowned for the highly-successful Burnout series, is on track to restore the Need for Speed franchise to its former, pre-Underground glory, and naturally fans are desparate to find out all they can prior to the game’s November release. Over the last few days, the company’s Tweets have let some, um, 'most wanted' details slip (see what I did there?).

Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1 first look

Sonic the Hedgehog was the reason I became a gamer. I did have games before that - in fact I started with an Amstrad CPC like Craig, but Sonic was in a league of his own. This series had everything: catchy music, wicked gameplay and generally just very clever platforming. I don't think I've ever played another game that made my heart race as much as when I thought I was going to drown Sonic in Labyrinth Zone, and the ominous countdown music played.
