We’ve just received official word from Saint Nicholas, a.k.a. Kris Kringle, a.k.a. Mr Claus, that Christmas is cancelled this year. Don’t bother putting up decorations, unclogging the chimney or amassing mince pies because he’s not coming. Lists won’t get read, stockings won’t get filled, and presents won’t get delivered. Why? Because he’ll be playing Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Vietnam all holiday.

Explosions of hype and bursts of PR have laid waste to its battlefield, the only remnants being decrepit buildings, blazing vehicles and the odd lonely sniper. But DICE is the Medic of videogame developers; armed with medikits and a trusty defibrillator, the Swedish company plans to revive its critically-acclaimed title by administering a generous dose of new downloadable content.

Our contacts at EA have kindly provided us with a hot new trailer for Battlefield: Bad Company 2’s soon-to-be-released Vietnam expansion pack and it confirms that the flamethrower will be one of the premium DLC's 15 period-specific weapons.
