Video games have come a long way from Pong. We have grown accustomed to 3D graphics, online play, and stories that are good enough to be movies. This is the new standard for video games today. Two moving paddles knocking a ball back and forth doesn't seem to cut it anymore. Games today come in such a wide variety such as FPS, RPG, RTS, Action Adventure, etc.

GDC 2010: Gran Turismo 5 Releasing This Year

Got scared, didn't you? Don't worry, Sony announced during their GDC conference that Gran Turismo 5 will indeed release this year. Unfortunately, a specific release date was not announced. On the bright side, it's releasing this year.

Uncharted Developers Announce Prequel to Drake's Fortune

Naughty Dog's Lead Game Designer Neil Druckmann announced yesterday, during a LiveChat session hosted on the US PlayStation blog, that he and his team intend to release a prequel to Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune – said by MyInsideGamer to be entitled Uncharted: Eye of Indra:

'We have an exclusive announcement! We're releasing a prequel story to Uncharted 1 as a motion comic voiced by your favourite actors from the two games. Stay tuned for more info.'

Rest assured, Mr Druckmann, we will.

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves has been on store shelves in the US for little over 24 hours now and its developers are already talking about their next project. Busy beagles, aren’t they?
