Gamers who were hoping to get their hands on the Splinter Cell: Conviction which was originally due to drop on February 23, of 2010 will be disappointed. Ubisoft chose to delay the release once again (being the second since 2007), pushing this latest installment of Sam Fishers' adventures into the next fiscal quarter, which means there is a possibility that it may finally be released in April.

There was no reason given for the delay, however, viewing the current release dates of other titles, Conviction would have had to compete with Heavy Rain on release day, Aliens vs Predator the week prior, and Final Fantasy 13 two weeks after. These all being possible great titles could cause a difficult choice for those who are lacking a significant sized piggy bank.

Byron Report Pisses UK Gamers Off

UK Gamers have always had to wait a long time for games compared to Japan and even the US, and we've never been happy about it. Now, thanks to the Byron report, we may have to wait even longer.

You see, this report recommends that the PEGI and BBFC both rate games, with the BBFC rating on the front of the box and the PEGI rating on the back. What does this mean? Well, it means an extra unnecessary administration layer has been created to get in the way of games being released in the UK.
