LinkedIn job vacancy confirms Dead Space Sequel

A few weeks ago, IGN writer Jimmy Thang reported that Glenn Schofield, EA Redwood Shores General Manager and Dead Space Executive Producer, indirectly hinted a sequel to Dead Space was on the cards. Strangely enough, some remain unconvinced.

Well this ‘some’ might be interested to know that, earlier this evening, I received a mail from a devoted PS3Vault fan containing a link to a LinkedIn job vacancy, posted November 13th 2009. The vacancy seeks a Senior Online Level Designer to work on the Dead Space Franchise for Xbox and PS3.

Could this be further proof that a Dead Space 2 will materialise? Considering the use of the term ‘Franchise’, a brand name under which a series of products (not one sole product) is released, I'm inclined to say yes. Quite probably.

Besides, the word ‘sequel’ in the Company Description paragraph is a bit of a giveaway...

DeadSpace Goes Gold, Bonus For Europe

Dead Space has gone gold and will be showing up on October 14th in the US and October 24th in Europe. In addition, our European brethren (and sisterethen) will get bnous Downloadable Content for free if ordered from Play.com Rumor has it that the bonus content is the Obsidian Suit. This suit features extra toughness and more inventory holding spots. Presumably the Obsidian Suit will also be available in the US and hopefully will be free. Stay tuned for further details!

Dead Space Coming to Europe Early

Alright all of those in Europe - Dead Space for the PS3 and Xbox 360 has been moved up to October 24, 2008 so start saving your euros and days off; you'll need them sooner than originally thought. The highly anticipated Survival Horror title was supposed to appear on Halloween, October 31st which has been maintained as the PC release date. Read more »
