I loved Crysis. Though it was best known for its stunning visuals, I still found it to be a great shooter with interesting weapons, solid mechanics, and a kick-ass cybernetic suit of armor. However, I felt that the game's multiplayer component was a bit underdeveloped. When word arose of Crysis 2 appearing on consoles, I was alive with excitement at the thought of partaking in a polished multiplayer experience.

Just recently the guys over at Crytek took a trip to New York City to show off Crysis 2. They chose New York primarily because the new Crysis has made the switch from tropical jungle to a more urban jungle, which just happens to be New York City. While there they introduced a new Crysis 2 trailer (check it out after the break) which gives gamers a better idea of what to expect in terms of story and atmosphere, and also shows that they haven't forgotten about the aliens.

In the recent years many people have drooled over the stunning graphics of Crysis, but few could actually run it. To many it was practically unplayable, because it required the power only a multi-thousand dollar gaming PC had to offer. But with the news/screens of Crysis 2 finally starting to surface, we are now getting to see what we will actually be able to play not on an overpriced PC but on our relatively inexpensive and sexy PS3s.
