Purchasers or LittleBigPlanet: Game of the Year Edition have been guaranteed access to the ModNation Racers Beta. That we knew. What we didn’t know until recently was that there is hope for everyone else wanting to get involved.

Registration is open from now until December 13th. Winner announcements will happen December 17th, with the beta commencing shortly afterwards we assume.

If you're looking forward to some 256-player warfare but haven't managed to secure a MAG beta code yet and live in the EU, you might be in lucky. But only might. The EU PS site is giving them away in a competition - just login to the site with your PSN ID and click the correct button.

They're only giving away 16,000, so you'd better get over there sharpish. After you've done it you can only hope, cross your fingers and chant some good luck charms. The beta will run for 6 hours per day mon-fri - from 5pm til 8pm and 12am (midnight) til 3am. Yes, this is a proper beta, so there will be bugs and glitches around. These will be fixed before the game's full release, of course, and the beta is how they are found.
