Rumor: Insomniac Games Going Multiplatform

Long time PlayStation developer Insomniac Games allegedly has become a multiplatform developer, according to a trusted source who spoke with IGN under the condition of anonymity.

Insomniac Games has enjoyed a long relationship with Sony, but over the years has remained an independent studio. Insomniac reserves the right to create games for any platform. Insomniac is based in Burbank, California. Earlier this year, Insomniac Games opened a new studio in North Carolina.

Ratchet and Clank Content 'in the Works' for LBP

We reported yesterday that Ratchet and Clank content was in the works for LBP, and now Sony have confirmed that this is true to Eurogamer. They 'don't have any further details at this time', though, so you'll just have to wait. You do an awful lot of that, we know, but so do we; it can't be helped. Read more »

The lovely guys over at TSA have noticed something interesting on Insomniac's Twitter;

'replies from @mmalex, lbp levells coming, r&c content done, coming soon hopefully, up next for mm, big pack, bigger than mgs even.'

Obviously, LBP is LittleBigPlanet, R&C is presumably Ratchet and Clank, MM is Media Molecule and MGS is Metal Gear Solid. So if you put that together it all seems to imply that LBP will be getting some Ratchet and Clank-based content soon, followed by a content pack that is even bigger than the MGS pack, which was huge

Good news, then. We have no clue what the second pack involves, but we'll update you when we find out more. Read more »

Ratchet and Clank: A Crank in Time Demo at E3?

Ratchet Galaxy, a French gaming website, has spotted an Insomniac playing a demo of the upcoming Ratchet and Clank: A Crank in Time whilst signed in on PSN, entitled RCF2:Pre E3 Krell Canyon Playtest. This seems to imply the game will be shown at E3, perhaps with a playable demo for those lucky E3-ers to try out. Well, they've even got a screenshot of it, for proof, which you can see after the break. Let's hope we'll be cranking and time travelling sooner rather than later, eh?
