Rayman Origins to reach PSN by Christmas

Rayman Origins

“Long ago, the primordial forest deep and mysterious witnessed the birth of a man... er, a vegetable – no no no... ah, a thingamajig [...] destined to preserve the equilibrium of the sacred universe”. This is the origin of the one we call Rayman, as told by an eloquent voiceover lady in Ubisoft’s trailer for episodic 2D platformer Rayman Origins.

Expect Uncharted 2 DLC by Christmas

Uncharted Banner

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is on everyone’s lips right now. Naughty Dog’s gem has received unfathomable amounts of praise since it hit the shelves a fortnight ago, having exceeded everyone’s expectations in terms of presentation, gameplay, longevity and overall excellence. In fact, sales figures have already surpassed those of Drake’s Fortune.

We were beginning to think the hype might start to die down now... not a chance. In a recent interview with Industry Gamers, Creative Director Amy Hennig has disclosed details of upcoming downloadable content that will enhance the game's multiplayer experience:

‘There will be DLC available before the end of the year. Without going into specifics, it'll involve new maps, new characters, things like that. Some of it will be free of charge and some of it will be purchasable. We've got a lot of people on the team working on this stuff, some really cool stuff that people will be excited about.’

Rest assured, as soon as we uncover a release date, you’ll be the first to know.

Gran Turismo 5 Ready, and for Probable Christmas Release

Gran Turismo 5 Banner

Creator of the world-renowned Gran Turismo series Kazunori Yamauchi made an intriguing remark recently, during an exclusive interview with JVN.com about GT PSP, regarding the status of GT5:

‘We can leave when we want, but we can refine it to infinity. This is the situation at present.’

One might not read too much into this at face-value, but we believe this cryptic comment might suggest GT5 is ready, and the only reason it’s not on the shelves yet is because Kazunori wants to deliver the perfect racing title. He's a perfectionist, don't you know?

JVN’s further investigations have lead them to uncover the projected release date of December 11th 2009, according to distribution sources, meaning that GT5 could be with us in time for Christmas. We hope manufacturer Sony will be in a position to confirm this date during the Game Developers Conference being held in Cologne, Germany, on 17-19th August.
