Battlefield 1943, of which you can expect a review over the next few days, is the fastest selling day 1 and week 1 download-only game on PSN (and XBLA, too). The game sold over 600,000 digi-copies in it's first week on PSN and XBLA combined. Good news for EA and DICE, and good news for most of the people who bought it, too.

And why shouldn't it do well? Barring a few bugs, it's an enjoyable game. How enjoyable? Well, you'll have to wait for our review to find that out...

Battlefield 1943 to Have a Demo

According to TSA, Battlefield 1943 will bring with it a demo when it releases onto PSN tomorrow. Good stuff, eh? If the XBLA demo is anything to go by, the demo will let you play for 30 minutes before you have to buy the full game, though you will still be able to play the tutorial.

Well, we love Battlefield, and for £10 it's going to be a steal.

Battlefield 1943 will release on PSN next week on the usual day. It's downloadable, it's pretty damn beautiful and it's certainly looking great in most areas. Destructible buildings, planes, what's not to like? Plus, you know, Battlefield for £10. See the press release at VG247.
