Geoff Keighley, host of Spike Tv’s VGA's has announced via his Twitter account two of the exclusive announcements that will appear at this year's Video Game Awards.

The first announcement is the official gameplay reveal of Batman: Arkham City, while the other announcement is a mystery title from Bioware.

If I had to take an educated guess based on the teaser picture, I would guess that Bioware is prepping for a Mass Effect 3 announcement, or a spin-off title inflenced by the Mass Effect universe.

What do you think? Let us know in the comment section.

Batman's Latest Gadget is the Best DRM Ever

You know something's up when we're praising DRM. This is technically about the PC version of the game, not the PS3 version, but since the same game is on the PS3 and simply because this is the best DRM ever concieved by the minds of mortals, we thought we'd throw caution to the winds and let our metaphorical hair down and go for it anyway.

Eidos came up with an inventive way to screw pirates over in the PC version of Batman: Arkham Asylum. In fact, it is a trick worthy of the Joker himself; they disabled gliding. If you've played the game (and if you haven't, you definitely should), you'll know that gliding is an integral part of the gameplay, putting an unavoidable stopper onto your progression very early into the game. Instead, the caped crusader just tries to open his cape over and over again as he plummets to become a rather leathery pile on the ground. At least he looks cool whilst doing it.

As far as DRM goes, this is completely excellent, so we fully support it. Besides, it's better than certain other methods.

A Complete Run-Down of the Batman: Arkham Asylum Content, Exclusive and Not

Batman Arkham Asylum Banner

We're looking forward to Batman: Arkham Asylum like it's going out of fashion. The demo is our collective most-played anything this week, with me personally having played it for hours at a time multiple times (and about to do so again), so it's obvious that we enjoy it. A lot.

If you're anywhere near as batty about the demo as we are, and are lurking in the shadows waiting for the game to wander past, you'll probably be wondering which version you want to glide kick into unconsciousness. There are three versions, after all - the PS3 version, the 360 version and the PC version. In an effort to help you out, we've listed the features of the game, including pre-order bonuses, platform-exclusives and just general information, after the break.

Excited for Batman: Arkham Asylum? Well, you should be, because its about the only good Blu-Ray game coming out this August. Batman will be sneaking and brawling his way through all of Arkham on the 25th, and us lucky PS3 owners will even get some exclusive content, allowing us to play as the nefarious Joker in the Challenge Maps. Not only that, but the demo releases on Friday (oddly enough), so you'll even get to do some batting around three whole weeks before the game releases.

Exciting, right? We're going completely batty. Just to tease everyone, nearly twelve minutes of the game has been posted over on dailymotion.com, so check it out after the break. Us? We're going to bed, we can't stand all this excitement, good knight.
