Euro PSN updates this week

The majority of highlights from this weeks PSN update come directly from Sony’s PlayStation Day event, which was sadly rather underwhelming this year. Still, if you’re interested to see what’s up on the PlayStation Store, take a look under the cut.

PixelJunk Monsters Encore - priced and dated

One of the top PSN games around for PS3 is PixelJunk Monsters. The tower game genre has been around for some time but PJM brought a bit of 2D quirkiness (with a nice level of HD polish as well). Good news then as the official US Playstation Blog has info on the release date of […]

Echochrome Hits US PSN

An update to the US Playstation blog shows that puzzle game Echochrome will be available for purchase on the US PSN store from today. The game can be yours for a mere $9.99 and will be available in both PS3 and PSP versions.

New PSN Store Arrives, Some Bugs, Patience Needed

Well, after a long day at the office (and a few needed rounds of COD 4), I logged on to check out the latest version of the PSN Store. To sum it up - it looks awesome but still has a few rough edges.

PSN Store Update and Network Downtime Confirmed

It’s been confirmed that the next system software update and PSN Store update will take place on April 14th, just in time for those of us rushing to file our US Income Tax returns to be forced to take a break and try to track down that receipt for that business dinner at the […]

Firmware 2.30 and PSN Store Double Whammy

April is a busy month. There’s a firmware update, a refresh of the PSN store and the release of a certain crime-themed AAA title. Focussing on the first two of those highlights, we have details on the contents of 2.30 and the store’s sexy new look. Remember those screenshots we posted a while ago? […]

“It will cache all images properly and is much faster than the old one,” says the source - so not only will it look slick, it’ll run better too.

Ladies and gentlemen, boy and girls, aliens of all ages, Pain has finally arrived, with the entire back-catalogue of addons to download too. Other than that, the Motorstorm trailer, and a Stranglehold Mappack.

PSN Europe update…sort of

Thursday rolls around again and that means it’s time for a PSN update. Well, unless you’re of European extraction. In that case the term update acquires a strange new meaning whereby very little actually changes. A few things have turned up, don’t get me wrong, but it’s hardly stellar stuff…

Video Downloads On Your PS3 (Rumor)

That’s right sports fans - the venerable PS3 is going to be getting video downloads according to reliable sources like the Wall Street Journal and Financial Times (you have to trust a paper that’s daring enough to be printed on pink paper).

UK PSN Update 21st February 2008

Well this week we see another vaguely disappointing update for the UK’s PSN, with no new games, and not really much else - just a few videos, wallpapers, et. At least we got the Lost Planet demo (which I still think is great).

UK PSN Update 14th February 2008

Happy Valentines Day! Surprisingly, we got a long-awaited game today, Everyday Shooter now sees Europe through out HD screens. Also, a demo, some trailers, wallpapers, GH3 songs and a theme.

UK Everyday Shooter this Thursday

Well, we have a source that says the PSN game Everyday Shooter, that was released in America in October, is finally coming to the EU PSN store this Thursday.

UK PSN Update 7th February 2008

Today’s update brought a couple of demos, which aren’t much to scream about, Sky Diving the game, which is pretty good (graphics are gorgeous) and some other stuff - this game was released a month ago or so in Japan, and it’s already here…so why haven’t we got Pain yet!?
