In a surprising move, D3Publisher announced todays its plans to release a selection of its PSP catalog for download over the PlayStation Store later in the month.

Yes, Eurogamer have reviewed PlayTV, Sony’s freeview reciever and recorder for PS3, and they have given it an 8/10.

TSA have said that PlayTV is due out on the 19th September (in the UK, France, Italy, Spain and Germany), for £69.99. PlayTV is the Europe-only (for the moment, at least) digital TV viewer for the PS3 that lets you record programs, all through some rather nice looking menus - so think Sky+ but spiffier [...]

Resistance Retribution has been announced for the PSP, at E3, of course. The game is apparently a third person shooter, and the video showed climbing, aliens and cities (obviously, for the last two, at least) and a British woman talking about the Chimera.

Eric Lempel has posted an update on the Official PS Blog for those PSP owners interested in what would be included in the next firmware upgrade. The PSP’s firmware is inching ever closer to the big v4.00, so we’re expecting good things on the horizon for the PSP’s fuctionality.
