That’s right. The often mentioned but seldom seen virtual community and gaming environment just got one step closer to, you know, actually existing. PSN Senior Director Susan Panico (great name) has told Official Playstation Magazine that the public beta will be opened to the gaming proletariate “very soon”.

According to reports from all around the internet, Sony’s upcoming online networking / community service, PlayStation Home, is scheduled to appear at the upcoming Online Game & Community Service Conference (OGC) next week.

People like rewards. Goes without saying really. The acknowledgement of a job well done and all that. The same goes for gamers: whether it’s an obscene difficulty setting in DMC4 or trophy for chaining 20 x burnouts in Paradise. We all like a virtual pat on the back.

Happy new year, ladies, gentlement, and everything in between! This ‘My Thoughts’ thing is something I intend to start to inform you of what I think about many things gaming relate- so lets go:
Well, I think the PS3 is going to do well this year. Towards the end of 2007, there were some good exclusives games coming out (Ratchet and Clank Future, Heavenly Sword, Warhawk, GT4: Prologue, etc).

Thanks to a confirmed post on the PS3Forum by the lucky few PlayStation Home Beta users, we can confirm some new details and slight changes in the PS3’s social networking service, due for release sometime in 2008.

The publisher of games such as Lumines and Meteos will be releasing an MMORPG free of charge to PS3 owners, Angel Love Online. The game has already been released for the PC since last December, so the game isn’t too new. The game will be out December this year.
