The recent outbreak of ‘Mapathy’, a condition specific to members of the Modern Warfare 2 community defined as “a state of indifference to the same old maps one has been playing for the last several months”, has prompted Infinity Ward to disclose information regarding a long-awaited map pack.

Medal of Honor is a game that any first person shooter fan has heard of and probably played, but now this traditionally World War II based series has made the ever-popular shift to the modern day setting. The new title is boasting impressive graphics and very Modern Warfare like game mechanics. Medal of Honor is [...]

War: what is it good for? Well, in the case of 2008’s FPS Battlefield: Bad Company, war presented the perfect opportunity for four expendable soldiers to abandon their official duties in favour of stealing gold from a foreign military. While on paper this makes for an intriguing shooter, Digital Illusions Creative Entertainment’s title lacked substance, remembered [...]

I don’t know about you, but I love a good swear from time to time. I find first-person shooters in particular (Modern Warfare 2 being the main culprit) encourage expletives to gush from my mouth at a speed comparable to that of the gallons that cascade down Niagara Falls. Wow, what a picture that paints…
So when [...]

People continue to ask me why I, a Modern Warfare 2 veteran, am choosing to abandon all I know and convert to Battlefield: Bad Company 2 when it launches on March 5th (aside from the fact it’s an excellent title, of course). In light of today’s post, perhaps their relentless probing will cease.

Anyone bored of Modern Warfare 2 yet? Pro-ed all perks? Owned on all maps? Unlocked all attachments? Then you’ll be pleased to hear that Activision has confirmed that a new Call of Duty game will hit the market before the year is out.

You’d think after Sandy Ravage’s first Free-for-all booster hunt that these cheaters would’ve learned their lesson – or at least discovered some better-concealed crevices in which to boost their butts off. Obviously some people are glutton for punishment.

We feel it’s important that, every now and then, PS3 websites take a breather from cutting-edge news and post, to quote Monty Python, ‘something completely different’.
For many, Infinity Ward’s Modern Warfare 2 is the bane of their existence due to the fact the game’s jam-packed with glitchers, trash-talkers, laggers and boosters. Enter Sandy Ravage, who recently [...]

A New Year brings new Modern Warfare 2 glitches. This game probably has more bugs in it than an overpopulated Influenza concentration camp.
The latest online multiplayer hindrance is the ‘ice skate’ manoeuvre, the ability to move almost five times faster than normal (and no, we are not about to tell you how to do it!). Thankfully [...]

Hideo Kojima, the man behind the Metal Gear Solid series, has recently decided he wants to switch back to the PS3. According to the recent edition of the Official PlayStation Magazine, the reason why he wants to make the switch is due to the recently released Modern Warfare 2. Kojima said “After seeing Modern Warfare [...]

Survival in Modern Warfare 2 is important. Otherwise, you die a lot. It’s not Rocket Science really, is it?
Even so, so many players suffer negative kill/death ratios at the end of games due to being environmentally and strategically unaware. Enter Defend The House, the guys that brought you Halo 3 Mythbusters, who have recently published the first [...]

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 appears to be dominating the landscape of next generation first person shooters, despite its online multiplayer element being saturated with flaws, hacks, glitches, and arrogant pubescent gamers.
But for how long? We realise this is a bold question, though we feel Digital Illusions CE (better known as DICE) will give [...]

So update 1.05 for the PlayStation 3 version of Modern Warfare 2 is now live. Matchmaking has supposedly been improved, though we’re still not happy. Why? Glitchers.
We’re getting increasingly fed up of gamers exploiting the suicide bomber-esque Javelin glitch and players doing things like hiding inside rocks to claim kills from unsuspecting passersby. Thankfully Infinity Ward’s Community Manager [...]

‘Ghost’, Modern Warfare 2’s campaign sub-character, might one day be starring in his own videogame. Craig Fairbrass, Ghost’s voice actor, revealed the news during the UK launch event for Infinity Ward’s new groundbreaking FPS:
‘I did in the last game a voice for a character called Gaz and in this game I’m now voicing a guy [...]

I almost suffered a coronary when I read the ambiguous headline ‘Onion breaks news of Modern Warfare 3’. Modern Warfare 3? Already? Really?? But, when the link redirected me to the Onion News Network website, I quickly realised I was about to endure a meaningless spoof video. However, it was actually very entertaining – so [...]
