Konami Digital Entertainment announced today that it has decided to delay the Metal Gear Online beta test in North America due to unprecedented demand. The company made an official statement on its official website today, explaining the reason for the delay.

Earlier we reported that a Metal Gear Solid 4 PS3 bundle was coming this summer. Now, we have a date - June 12, 2008. Konami announced the release date today in a press release.

Ryan Payton, the assistant producer behind MGS4 said last month that there was not going to be a demo for MGS4, unfortunately. However, Playstation World magazine said in their last issue that ‘the stage we [PSW] played will be out on the PSN Store in the next month.’

This trailer shows off a match in the upcoming Metal Gear Online direct from the current Tokyo Game Show. While the clips don’t reveal a ton of new information, they do show off a gorgeous rendering engine, a seemingly infinite draw distance and, yet again, the awesomeness that is OctoCamo.
