According to GamesRadar,
AM2 developers Tohru Murayama and Yoshihiro Tsuzuku recently spoke with GamesRadar in reference to the Xbox 360 version of VF5, which is slated for release sometime in the third quarter of 2007. And from what they’ve stated, releasing it for the 360 was completely their decision and something they wanted very, very much.

Recently, Eurogamer.net scored an interview with Sega?s AM2 team regarding the recently launched Virtua Fighter 5. The interview revealed many details about the new characters, the new Offensive Move mechanics, and online play among many topics. While I?m not big fan of Virtua Fighter 5, I found few discussion topics very interesting.

The report of sluggish sale for Virtua Fighter 5 might have been exaggerated. Although it did not break and sales record or get close 100,000 copies in the first week, it still managed to grab top spot in sales chart. Kotaku is reporting that Virtua Fighter 5 for PS3 has sold 48,346 copies [...]

Adding to the sales woe of Viruta Fighter 5, The Virtua Fighter 5 joystick has been found to be defective. Accordingly, Sega has stopped selling the joysticks at this time. Kotaku is reporting that only 30,000 Virtua Fighter 5 have been sold compared to 60,000 copies sold for Dead or Alive 4.

Sega has recently made an official announcement that their flagship fighting game Virtua Fighter 5 for PS3 will be released in U.S on Feb. 20, 2007. Furthermore, SEGA of Europe confirmed that Virtua Fighter 5 will be one of the PS3 launch titles come March (Possibly).
