Red Dead Redemption is a vast open-world set in early 20th century Western America. After a string of sucessful titles such as Grand Theft Auto, Bully and Midnight Club, Rockstar has new limits to push in their latest sandbox game. You can expect plenty of horse ridin’, gunslingin’ action throughout a realistic and beautiful world.

Capcom revealed yesterday that players will be able to unlock and play as infamous Resident Evil antagonist Albert Wesker in Lost Planet 2. There is one small catch, however; this character skin is a GameStop pre-order perk.
Playing as Wesker isn’t incentive enough, you say? Well, taking advantage of this pre-order promotion will also add an [...]

In a recent interview with The Times, Rockstar Games’ Vice President of Creativity Dan Houser has let an infinitesimal cat out of the bag labelled GTA V – well, a whisker or two at least.
Post-Red Dead Redemption, Houser will begin co-writing the script for GTA IV’s follow-up title, which is anticipated to be approximately 1,000 pages in [...]

‘If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’. I for one am a great believer in this particular cliché. Sure, whatever ‘it’ might be could over time undergo the odd tweak or two, but ‘it’ remains largely unchanged. Now, consider Insomniac’s solid, compelling and rewarding Ratchet and Clank franchise in place of ‘it’. The first ever [...]

The PS3 releases this month have been as strong as ever, and fortunately the great games are still flooding in for Christmas time. This month’s OPM reviews the greatly anticipated Italian stealth simulator, FIFA’s ugly sister, the epitome of the PlayStation fighting genre, a game where you ferociously make flailing arm movements at your TV to cater for your “virtual pet” (yeah right, you crazy man) and many more. Hit the jump for the latest scores.

Seven years, seven best-selling PlayStation titles and 16 million recorded sales later, Insomniac might be ready to close the book on intergalactic heroes Ratchet and Clank. In an interview with CNN, Creative Director Brian Allgeier hinted that A Crack in Time provides a certain ‘closure’, tying up many of the series’ loose ends as the wrench-wielding Lombax and [...]

Anyone who enjoyed Rockstar’s PS2 Wild West shooter Red Dead Revolver should head over to Strategy Informer, where James Pikover has published a first impressions piece (with screenshots) on its talked-about sequel Red Dead Redemption.
Rockstar’s Rage engine makes a welcome return to power the game’s mountainous barren landscape that is, if claims are to be believed, [...]

According to some pictures taken from the set of the upcoming film, Battle: Los Angeles, Resistance 3 is being made and is set in New York. The images contain a billboard with Resistance 3 written on it. The simple existence of the billboard is the proof of the game, and the fact that you can [...]

Resident Evil 5 is to undergo a small makeover, re-emerging next year in the form of Resident Evil 5: Alternative Edition. True, the title isn’t especially original, but the game is worth getting hot-and-bothered about if you enjoyed incapacitating zombies the first time around.
As announced at Sony’s Tokyo Game Show press conference, the Alternative Edition [...]
