It’s official; Ubisoft is producing another tactical military shooter to add to its growing gameography (yes, we know that’s not a real word, but if terms like ‘filmography’ and ‘discography’ can be used why not?).
Future Soldier, which is being developed by the same award-winning team that brought us Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter, will [...]

Kratos will take on anyone, and that includes Uncharted 2’s Nathan Drake. The visuals on the PS3 are getting better and better, and these new in-game screenshots of God of War 3 (which you can preorder here ) are yet another example of what’s possible. Look forward to seeing a lot more of this game [...]

News comes from an official (and confusedly translated) PlayStation.com press release that the Japanese launch of Gran Turismo 5 has been pushed back from March to April 2010.
Though justification for the delay is predictably absent, Sony Computer Entertainment Japan is due to publish a revised release date for Polyphony Digital’s racing blockbuster soon. There is still [...]

Are you a valued PlayStation Network user? If you, like me, have received an email containing a promotional voucher code for an exclusive God of War III demo, chances are the answer is a profound ‘yes’. The folk at Sony Computer Entertainment are clearly feeling generous today, as they appear to be treating select PS3 owners to [...]

How many of you have heard that Xbox’s Gears of War series might be coming to PlayStation 3? Actually, never mind, it’s not important, because the rumours have been officially nullified.
As reported by VG Arabia, Design Director of the Gears franchise ‘Cliffy B’ was a guest on Kotaku Radio recently and, when asked if the [...]

In a recent interview with The Times, Rockstar Games’ Vice President of Creativity Dan Houser has let an infinitesimal cat out of the bag labelled GTA V – well, a whisker or two at least.
Post-Red Dead Redemption, Houser will begin co-writing the script for GTA IV’s follow-up title, which is anticipated to be approximately 1,000 pages in [...]

As if almost 1,000 licensed cars and 70-odd circuits wasn’t enough to get racers excited about Gran Turismo 5, a representative at developer Polyphony Digital has confirmed to Everything for Gamers – officially, so it seems – that the final product will feature a comprehensive track editor:
‘Yes [the game] will have a track editor. You will [...]

If you’re as lucky as I am, and you may well be so if you’re in the EU, you may well have gotten a code from SCEE in your email inbox this weekend. This code was for a demo download of God of War 3 or, more specifically, the demo that was shown at E3 [...]

The PS3 releases this month have been as strong as ever, and fortunately the great games are still flooding in for Christmas time. This month’s OPM reviews the greatly anticipated Italian stealth simulator, FIFA’s ugly sister, the epitome of the PlayStation fighting genre, a game where you ferociously make flailing arm movements at your TV to cater for your “virtual pet” (yeah right, you crazy man) and many more. Hit the jump for the latest scores.

It may not be the most logical or predictable combination, but the Blu-ray edition of Neill Blomkamp’s movie District 9 (due for release December 29th) will include an exclusive PS3 playable demo of God of War III built into the disc.
Peter Dille, SCEA’s Senior VP of Marketing and PlayStation Network, explains the thinking behind this:
‘Blu-ray [...]

Anyone who enjoyed Rockstar’s PS2 Wild West shooter Red Dead Revolver should head over to Strategy Informer, where James Pikover has published a first impressions piece (with screenshots) on its talked-about sequel Red Dead Redemption.
Rockstar’s Rage engine makes a welcome return to power the game’s mountainous barren landscape that is, if claims are to be believed, [...]
