According to a Bad Company 2 blog site, EA has confirmed that new copies of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 – which launches next week – will contain a VIP code granting access to free day-one DLC.

I don’t know about you, but I love a good swear from time to time. At long last Gearbox Software has confirmed a date and price for the third Borderlands DLC package, The Secret Armory of General Knoxx, which will provide trigger-happy vault hunters with another incentive to head out into the arid wastelands of Pandora and rack up their kill counts.

Christer Ericson, Director of Technology at Sony Santa Monica, has stated that God of War III has gone gold. Ericson’s exact words were “God of War 3 has gone gold and is being manufactured!”, as per his Twitter page. God of War III will be released on March 16th.

Last month Criterion Games dished out some tough love to its adoring fan base, announcing via Twitter that there will be no more DLC produced for Burnout Paradise. However, the developer has cut US PS3 pedal pushers a generous deal by wayof cushioning the blow.

CVG received confirmation from Codemasters’ VP of Development Gavin Cheshire yesterday that a new first-person shooter is in the pipeline. If that wasn’t news enough, the developer has commissioned the services of Stuart Black, the Senior Designer behind Criterion Games’ PS2 FPS Black, especially for the project.

Red Dead Redemption is a vast open-world set in early 20th century Western America. It has come to our attention that the explosive and epically atmospheric sequel to Battlefield: Bad Company might not be as ‘with the times’ as we originally thought. According to the ESRB synopsis of DICE’s first-person shooter, the first few missions of Battlefield: Bad Company 2’s single player campaign will be set in Wold War II.

Borderland’s was one of our favourite first-person shooters of 2009. Since its release we’ve been treated to two deep, distinctive and thoroughly enjoyable add-ons for Gearbox Software’s stylised sci-fi gunslinger and to our delight, as Joystiq writes, another is on the way.
