Mushroom Wars Demo coming to PlayStation Store

The word on TheSixthAxis is that fungus-filled strategy game Mushroom Wars will be hitting the PlayStation Network again – this time in the format of a playable demo.
Ok, so we realise developer Creat Studios has adopted the try-before-you-buy philosophy a little late, releasing a demo weeks after the full game was released for purchase, but that’s a technicality. [...]

Oddworld Titles Confirmed for PS3

At PS3Vault, we do our very best to refrain from using the phrase ‘we told you so’ unless it’s absolutely necessary. We make no apologies, however, for screaming from the rooftops when our presuppositions are confirmed by an official body.
You might remember us hinting last month that Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee could be making its way [...]

Attention Europe: How to Buy American PSN Content, Safely

A post specifically for frustrated EU dwellers this morning…
All too frequently, one territory’s PlayStation Store gets something our territory’s PlayStation Store does not. A PSN game hits the US network, for instance, and we have little option but to wait on an EU release. Case in point, Bomberman Ultra has been available for download in [...]

It’s not every day word comes that a 1980s NES title is to grace the PS3, so now that we’ve learned one might we’d like to make a small song and dance about it.

Do you suck at PixelJunk Monsters?

I do.  I’m dreadful at this game.  I assume it’s the game’s fault – I’ve hammered all sort of RTS games in my time, this RTS-lite shouldnt be a problem for me. Yet I’m rubbish at this.  After having the game for 4 months I’ve only been able to progress past the third level of [...]

PixelJunk Monsters Encore – priced and dated

One of the top PSN games around for PS3 is PixelJunk Monsters. The tower game genre has been around for some time but PJM brought a bit of 2D quirkiness (with a nice level of HD polish as well). Good news then as the official US Playstation Blog has info on the release date of [...]

The new PlayStation 3 Store “will no longer use the PS3 web browser” according to a Sony source.
“It will cache all images properly and is much faster than the old one,” says the source – so not only will it look slick, it’ll run better too.
