Last month Criterion Games dished out some tough love to its adoring fan base, announcing via Twitter that there will be no more DLC produced for Burnout Paradise. However, the developer has cut US PS3 pedal pushers a generous deal by wayof cushioning the blow.

It has been confirmed on Twitter that the Burnout Paradise Toy Cars pack is to be released on Playstation Store this Thursday. We have no price, but you can bet it’s between £4.99 and £7.99. That’s it.

Criterion confirmed today that the Burnout Paradise Legendary Cars Pack will released… this Thursday! That was rather sudden, wasn’t it?
The Burnout Paradise Legendary Cars pack will feature cars inspired by The Ghostbuster’s Ecto-1. Knight Rider’s KITT, Back to the Future’s DeLorean, and The Chicanator, a tribute to a long time Burnout fan from Mexico.

Where we’re going, we don’t need roads. Burnout Paradise, Criterion’s fantastic arcade racer, which has already had the best support of any console game ever (with numerous patches, introducing new vehicles, bikes, weather and a day/night cycle) is set to get some more support.

Yes, the Burnout Paradise patch is now online, just start Burnout Paradise and you’ll be prompted to update.
This patch comes with two bikes, new freeburn challenges, new timed challenges and day and night cycles (which can be switched around at any time, and can even be real time if you’d like).
