Bioshock 2, the much-awaited sequel to horror/shooter/thing Bioshock (obviously), has finally been given a release date. February 9th, for every console and in every territory, making various other games look shoddily released.

Digital Extremes are handling the multiplayer for Bioshock 2, apparently. It’s set in Rapture before it fell and players will learn more about the place as they play. Interesting stuff, indeed. Full press release is after the break.

Bioshock 2: Sea Of Dreams. No longer will Bioshock 2 be titled Sea Of Dreams, but rather known only as Bioshock 2. It will release simultaneously on PS3, PC and 360, but we all know which version matters the most.
Multiplayer details will be revealed “soon enough”, but with GDC being this week, keep your ears open. Bioshock 2 is set to release some time later this year.

Wow. In Bioshock 2 you will be playing the whole game (we’re almost certain) as a Big Daddy. In fact, it’s not just a Big Daddy, it’s the very first Big Daddy. Nice – and you’ll be able to adopt Little Sisters, too, as well as either killing or saving them.

The underwater classic tooks its sweet time coming over to everyone’s favourite console. But as they say: eveything comes to he who waits. With that mantra in mind I bring news that the promised DLC for Bioshock is available for download from the store today.

Having only been released in PAL territories today, an eager fan has revealed to the internet that the PS3 version of Bioshock comes with an extra scene at the end of the game which will no doubt excite those waiting anxiously for the sequel.

2K Games announced today that BioShock for the PS3 has gone gold which means the scheduled North American release date of October 21 is, well, as good as gold! Yesterday, Take Two announced that they will be developing a sequel to their highly acclaimed title Bioshock. Considering the commercial and critical success of the game, which many believe changed forever the landscape of first person shooter titles, this revelation comes as no great surprise to most.
