Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Patched to 1.02
Well, like many hard core gamers, we bought our copy of Modern Warfare 2 today and ripped the plastic off so fast there were sparks. OK, initial patch, that's to be expected. But after taking a break to eat some dinner (yeah, I know, I'm such a wimp), I fire up the game again and it's already patched to 1.02! Hmm, I'm all for bug fixes but this is a bit quick. If anybody has any insight into what necessitated a patch so quickly, please let us know!
Update: From our super informed readers, the patch was to fix a trophy problem and another patch, to fix the party invite bug, will be coming out later this week.

Bought the game (australia) updated to 1.02 and the game constantly crashes, gotten worse over the last 12 hours, now it crashes (freezes needs a PS3 switch off), it is completely unplayable, I tried to delete the game data and install again, no difference, even worse, I even tried it without installing the update....what a joke! I have to take the game back. very dissapointed, my PS3 plays every other game and doesn't crash

i finished my Modern Warfare 2 campaign den i gt the new update so now i hav to go over the campaign again also for some reason i can not play online because of the new update patch does anyone know how long dis will take for infinity ward or who ever makes the game to fix
Yeah 1.02 freezes up all the systems ive tried it on when logging into multiplayer
The patch is a trophy patch, and they should have one relesed by friday for mulitplayer, all of this i have read on this and other sites. but it is a highly advance brand new game. i smelled BUGS a long time before the game even came out.
since 1.02 I cant logon to multiplayer?? WTF?

RIDICULOUS. Last night the party bug now i cant even log into the game.
Online multiplayer does not work for me and many many others since the update.

ahhh =( i haven't even got my copy yet! i keep forgetting to bring in the games to trade in for it - f*ck it. i'll buy it today - even though its going to make me broke for the rest of the month til pay day.
I'm pretty annoyed, I'd played half the game last night before grabbing some late dinner, then when I came back it had patched up and was giving me trophies. It means I've got to play the first few levels again...ahh well!
That party invite thing was infuriating however - they are insane releasing the game without it being fully tested.
According to FourZeroTwo it should be the trophy patch. And he says to expect another one soon to fix the party invite problem (by friday):
