It took me 18 hours to beat the game and i did not have to plug the controller in at all threw out the whole game. Keep in mind it took me 3 days to beat so i am sure the controller retains some of its charge when it is turned off. Still a spectacular amount of time compared to what i am used to with 360 controller. Just played threw entire Metal Gear Solid 4 game with DS3 controller that came in bundle.

It took me 18 hours to beat the game and i did not have to plug the controller in at all threw out the whole game.
