The Kane & Lynch fans out there are probably already aware that IO Interactive is currently developing a sequel to the 2007 shooter, entitled Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days.

What we’re pretty sure you didn’t know is that Die Hard megastar Bruce Willis has been asked to play Adam ‘Kane’ Marcus in a big screen adaption of the game. Hollywood producer Adrian Askarieh spoke with GameDaily about the film:

‘Bruce Willis will star as Kane, and we’re about to start casting Lynch [...] it’s essentially the story of a mercenary teaming up with a schizophrenic psychopath to save his wife and daughter [...] after Bruce Willis read [the script], he called it one of the best action scripts he’s ever read.’

We think you’ll agree that, coming from the man who played John McClane, Empire’s twelfth greatest movie character of all time, that’s quite a compliment.

The filming of Kane & Lynch will begin in March next year. Yippie ki-yay mother… erm… you get the gist.
