Bioshock PS3 DLC Available Today
The underwater classic tooks its sweet time coming over to everyone’s favourite console. But as they say: eveything comes to he who waits. With that mantra in mind I bring news that the promised DLC for Bioshock is available for download from the store today.
The pack will set you back $9.99 and comes with two main components: New Game Plus, and the already reviewed Challenge Rooms. The first mode allows you to play through a new run of the main game but with all your upgraded plasmids and weapons. Always fancied going through Rapture again and bringing the pain to those Big Daddies? This mode is for you.
Now, the Challenge Rooms offer something different. Separate from the main story arc they are specific puzzles or tasks that you have to solve (or is that survive?). For example you might have to rescue a Little Sister from the top of a ferris wheel – as one often does. Except you’ll only have limited and carefully chosen resources at your disposal. The idea is to get you to maxmise the use of weapon combinations and the environment in order to succeed.
I have yet to pick up Bioshock on the ps3, simply due to the avalanche of great titles out at the moment. My wallet will only stretch so far. If any of you out there have the new modes let us know what you think…
