Battlefield Bad Company 2

It has come to our attention that the explosive and epically atmospheric sequel to Battlefield: Bad Company might not be as ‘with the times’ as we originally thought. According to the ESRB synopsis of DICE's first-person shooter, the first few missions of Battlefield: Bad Company 2’s single player campaign will be set in Wold War II.

The summary reads:

"In single-player mode, players conduct missions on an unnamed Japanese island during World War II and then move into the modern day through jungles, deserts, and snowy terrain."

We find DICE’s decision to backtrack through time quite interesting. After all, it would be a perfect opportunity for the Swedish developer to cross over into (or expand upon) Battlefield: 1943. Whatever the rationale, this news has us even keener to get our mitts on this game.
