Batman: Arkham Asylum Will Get a Downloadable Demo

Update: The notification that was on the official forum has been removed now, but you can still read what it said after the break.
If you’ve been wondering why you haven’t heard anything about a demo for the upcoming and great looking Batman: Arkham Asylum, you can stop wondering. The official forums for the game have a notice that assures us that there will be a demo release at some point. It doesn’t give any details, other than the demo being available for PS3, 360 and PC, so we have no date, yet.
They say they’re going to announce the date for the demo’s release in the first half of July. We’ll keep you updated – when we know, you’ll know. By which we mean we’ll update the site and tell you, not through some kind of strange symbiotic link, or anything else weird. You can see our impressions on the Challenge Room demo found in shops here. You can read the notice confirming the downloadable demo after the break.
PLEASE! HELP! WILL THERE BE A DEMO FOR BATMAN: ARKHAM ASYLUM?
Is there a God? What is the meaning of life? Is there life on another planet? Why does Noel Edmonds still have a career? Some of humankind’s greatest minds have wrestled with these age old questions for centuries. But one mystery, above all others, burdens humanity’s collective conciousness…
Will there be a Batman: Arkham Asylum demo available for download and if yes what will it contain?
Friends, the answer is…. YES.
It gets better: the demo will be available for 360, PS3 and PC. Zing! However, we haven’t announced when yet. We’re planning to announce the date and content of the demo in the first half of July – if you want to hear the news first keep it locked on to the Official Forums.

i played a demo for this game, weak…the games clean, no doubt. but im over 3rd person action fighters, after wolverine, infamous, prototype…im over it…at least the said mentioned games add some flavor through violance…what does batman have?…slicing people in half or tie them up and leave em for the cops….HUMPH…
I don’t see where or how you played a demo, but I really don’t believe you slice people in half and tie them up. I have seen every minute of coverage from E3 for this game, and nothing had anything to do with using a sword (or even using the batrang) to cut people nor tie them up. I take your comment as probably as FPS fanboy who gives no chance to other games where you can’t shoot someone in the face or fight online. Sorry, but none of the stuff you said has any part of Batman: Arkham, and there is really no way you could have played a demo. If you had the popularity in the industry to get a chance to play a demo, you would not be posting your thoughts on a video game forum.
Nor would you have such crappy grammar skills.
If you go to BestBuy or Gamestop. they have a playable demo. But the slice in half and tie up is a comparison between Wolverine and Batman. The demo at the kios is not story mode but like a challenge mode.
The demo looked fun to me. Watched a kid at Best Buy play it. I’ll buy it
why o why did the basterds have to delay it.
i wanted to get this game, now i will have to settle for uncharted 2 and NFS shift.
@MB i think he meant hed rather slice people up in wolverine than tie them up in batman, read comments properly b4 jumping 2 conclusions dumb ass
@MB…wow, your dumb…sorry my grammer isnt 100% for ya buddy, but at least i can read…and the demo has been at a few dirrerent retailers for a month or so now…and fyi not a big fps fan…
game sucks. i guess i’ll have to get the collectors edition…..
played the demo at gamestop it was awesome although i didnt get to play the story just the challenge room even though you keep on hitting the attack button constantly just to stay alive it is repetitive in just a small way and its not bad sometimes a good game needs a bit of repetivness but otherwise its pretty good fun i just cant wait to get it so i can get all those gadgets and stuff … explosive gel i think that would be pretty sick if you’d ask me
i think batman arkham asylum will be amazing. will the demo be in ps store?
