Anti - Camping strategy
In many of the PS3 forums, people jokingly make statements such as, “I’m going to get a few homeless people to run at the PS3 line before the store opens and have them yelling and waving plastic guns around”. One person stated that he would “muss his hair, babble constantly, wear a tutu and hand out fish to random people in the line”. Why would people do this? To hopefully discourage people in front of them so that they can “cut” to the head of the line. Well, some people are backing up their claims and are doing exactly that. Yesterday as a car drove by a PS3 line, a person shot at the crowd with a BB gun and hit 4 people including a reporter who was interviewing them all, in an attempt to make people nervous and hopefully make some leave. Fortunately no one was seriously injured and once the police showed up, they stayed to make sure that the people were not going to be harassed anymore. This makes me wonder what other fantastical stories we will hear concerning ridiculous scare tactics that in all likelihood, will not work and will result in the perp landing in jail.
